Pupillage Program

Wong & Partners invites law graduates interested to qualify and practice in Malaysia to apply for the Firm’s Pupillage Programme.

Pupils are rotated among all of the Firm's practice groups; this ensures that you get the widest range of exposure to our business. Each pupil will be given an important role to play that will add significant value to our the service which we provide to clients.

Qualifications

  • A "qualified person" under the Legal Profession Act (LPA) and comply with the requirements of the LPA.
  • Have achieved a minimum 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours) in your degree.

1. Malaysian university final year students / graduates: Applications open: 1 June 2019

2. BPTC students / graduates: Applications open: 1 April 2019

Vacation Scheme

Wong & Partners invites Malaysian law students interested in returning to qualify and practice in Malaysia to apply for the firm's Vacation Scheme.

During the four-week vacation scheme, you will work with our exceptional lawyers in four different practice areas. Our training programme is designed for you to better understand the type of work we do, and you will also get the opportunity to meet and socialise with our lawyers.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduates who are in the penultimate or final year of their law degree.
  • Undergraduates who are in their second or third year if they are completing a four or five-year degree.

Intake Dates

1. Malaysian* / UK University Students (June, July August and September): Applications open: January 2019
Applications close: 30 April 2019
2. UK / Australian University Students (December, January and February): Applications open: April 2019
Applications close: 30 November 2019

Applications for the Vacation Scheme should reach us no later than three months prior to the applicant's preferred start date of the programme.
