The Firm has won the coveted Country Awards for Malaysia for Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards
Kuala Lumpur, November 2017 - Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, won three awards at the 2017 Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards held in Hong Kong earlier this month, including the coveted "Malaysia - Country Award". Kherk Ying Chew, a partner and the head of the dispute resolution and IP practice of the Firm, won "Best in IP Ligitation"; Yvonne Beh, a partner with the tax, trade and wealth management practice also won "Best in Tax". It was the second time that both partners have won these awards.

Kherk Ying, who attended the awards ceremony on the Firm's behalf and is also the chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee in the Firm, said:

We have held our first Diversity Forum in March this year, and are looking to run more events with our client community and within the legal fraternity in Kuala Lumpur. We want to extend the conversation on inclusion and talk about the importance of cultivating future female leaders and talent management policies which encompass a strong diversity agenda."
